About Rochester FC

Rochester FC is southern Minnesota's premier youth soccer club, dedicated to developing the next generation of players on and off the pitch. RFC is your hometown soccer club.

Our Story & Heritage

Founded in 2018 by Midhat Mujic and Muharem Dedic—two friends who immigrated to Minnesota from Bosnia—RFC was built on a simple but powerful belief: that soccer could open doors for kids in Rochester the same way it had shaped their own lives. Drawing from their extensive backgrounds in semi-professional and professional soccer, they recognized the transformative impact a dedicated club could have on local youth and set out to build one from the ground up.

What began as a single team has evolved into Rochester’s core destination for youth player development. In 2023, Dr. Rafael Sierra—a former RFC player involved since the inaugural season—joined the ownership group, bringing deep community roots and a shared passion for empowering local athletes.

Our Focus: Youth Development

Having laid strong foundation stones through years of competitive adult and pre-professional play, Rochester FC is now fully centered on what matters most: nurturing young talent. Today, our academy and youth development programs serve players ages 4 through 17, providing structured pathways, top-tier coaching, and an environment where every player can grow in confidence, skill, and character.

While our teams train and play across local facilities, including RCTC Stadium, our long-term vision remains clear: building a permanent home and a lasting soccer foundation for Rochester's youth that will inspire generations to come.
